7/11/19 Vermont Chain Scrap Exchange - Jul 11, 2019 10:00 am
Let?s make a scrappy quilt together, from fat quarters!
Christy has adapted a pattern originally written by Bonnie Hunter for
us, that will bring great scrappy satisfaction to us, as a group! The
class consists of an initial class meeting, a ?turn-in? date to deliver
your blocks to VQS and finally a gathering date to receive
all your new blocks and talk about settings.
We will be make ACCURATE blocks to trade with others quilters in
the class. Those receiving your blocks will all want accurately pieced
and sized blocks, as do you from them. In the initial class, we will
make one complete set together and then you will have the
opportunity to go home and make more. You get to decide how many
sets you?d like to make. This is a great way to make an instant scrap
quilt without needing lots of scraps. ?Picture-by-picture? directions
will be provided to you at the initial class.
After the ?turn-in? date, Christy will sort them all and have them
ready to return to you by our final optional gathering. You can join us,
or pick them up at the shop at your convenience anytime after the
final gathering date.
If your blocks are not turned in by the ?turn-in? date, they cannot be
sorted with the others. Accuracy counts, be advised, if your blocks
are not the correct size, they will be given back to you to either
correct or keep for yourself! I strongly advise you to turn in your
blocks on or before the deadline to get your truly ?scrappy? quilt!
